LIGHTS

My photographic process begins with a fascination for people and the world around me, how they overlap and intertwine. I’m less interested in inserting myself into a moment than becoming enthralled by it — watching closely, noticing the shifts in expression, gesture, atmosphere, and connection that might otherwise pass unnoticed. I want to photograph people as they really are: expressive, unguarded, a little exaggerated, deeply human. The people who unapolagetically bring their whole selves into a room always make the best photographs.

After a decade behind a camera, I’ve developed an instinct for patterns — the rhythm and the moments that tend to unfold before they happen. With that said, experience never replaces curiosity. I anticipate what’s coming while staying attentive to what breaks from the pattern, allowing instinct, adventure, and observation to take the lead in real time. The result is an album that feels considered without feeling over-controlled: intentional, responsive, and alive. If this sounds like the way you want your story remembered, I’d love to hear what you’re dreaming up.

Investment

Wedding day coverage begins at $4,500, with elopement coverage starting at $1,500 and sessions beginning at $500. For a proper quote with all things considered, be sure to reach out here!

Location

Based in Boise, Idaho, I regularly travel throughout Southern Idaho and Northern California, with roots in Folsom and an open invitation to Napa, Sonoma, and Lake Tahoe.

The idea and warmth of "home" is incredibly significant to me, and with that, you can always trust that a sense of place will play an active role in your gallery.

Approach

I specialize in both digital and film imagery, with digital taking the lead and film as a tasteful side dish. Digital brings crispness, clarity, and sureness to those once-in-a-lifetime shots, while film brings texture, depth, and the delightfully unexpected.

"art has been the common thread woven throughout my entire life."

From the moment we began working with Amanda, the experience was nothing short of magical. She made the experience so personal, to the point my fiancé and I felt we were hanging out with a friend, which we now truly consider her as after our session. Amanda took the time to get to know us, our personalities, and our vision, which allowed our photos to truly capture us to our core. We felt so at ease during the session and had a genuine good time. Her attention to detail and creativity managed to capture not only beautiful pictures, but our emotions in each shot! Our engagement session with Amanda was everything we could ask for and more. We are so grateful she came into our lives, we’ll never stop praising and recommending her work.
