FAQ :)
-
How will we be receiving our images? No matter what package you choose, all sessions+events include a digital gallery via Pic-Time with all of the final edited images, as well as download and printing rights to all images featured in said gallery. This gallery is also linked to a print shop, making ordering copies simple. Contact me to find out more about what each of my packages include!
-
Do you release any RAW images? No, RAW images are for my eyes only (trust me it's better this way haha) Crafting your final gallery is where I get to work all the magic and truly reflect your session or wedding day! In the same way, editing over the final images is also prohibited.
-
When should we expect our images?Galleries can be expected within 4 weeks for regular sessions and between 6-10 weeks for weddings and elopements.
-
What is required of me to get on your schedule?Once we have chosen a date or package depending on your desired coverage type, I will get you secured in the books by having you pay a 15% non-refundable deposit and sign a contract outlining expectations. Then the fun part starts!

How hands-on do you like to be in the process?I truly treasure the fact that you've chosen me to be the keeper of extremely special memories. With that being said, I do not take it lightly and love to be highly involved in the planning process. Right from the get go, I want to see all your inspo (I get STOKED on a good Pin board), and share vendor recommendations with you if requested! I also am more than down to help give artistic tips to help your vision come to life if you are stuck (i.e. what color florals to order, how to design your stationery for a certain look, etc.). I have a B.F.A. after all; I am obsessed with executing creative visions of all kinds! Anywhere between 2-4 months out from your wedding or elopement date, we will start to touch base on compiling family shot lists, adding the final touches Pinterest boards, organizing a timeline, and holding periodic virtual or IRL chats to let me pick your brain and iron out all of the wrinkles to make your day run as efficiently as possible on my end. Our last meeting can be however close to your event it needs to be to make sure everything is set up as perfectly as can be. I am a big believer that more planning before the date leads to less pressure and strain on the date so you really can exist in the moment. If we have been able to plan well beforehand, I enjoy taking a more hands-off approach at your event. Being a documentary-heavy photographer, I like to let candid and true moments unfold. However, for images such as bridal party, family, and couples formals that have a more rigid schedule, I am always down to share posing ideas and help direct the crowd!!

Will you share outfit and location recommendations for our session?100% YES. I am a huge location lover and have an extensively large bank of knowledge on the best places to shoot in CA and ID, as well as touching into OR and WA. I have guides that I will send to you before our shoot that cover both of these topics! :)
-
Where are you based out of and are you open to travel?I am primarily based out of both Boise, ID. and Folsom, CA., and also extend comfortably into the entire PNW, but I am open to traveling wherever you'd like me to photograph you and your story!!
-
What do you do that my friend with a point and shoot might not?Loaded question, right? Technology can go haywire, and though nobody can fully 100% be ready for what could go wrong, having someone who has tried to cover all the possibilities is SO beyond necessary when talking about something so sacred as your wedding day or graduation portraits. I copy all images to two SD cards as I am shooting. I have two hard drives that I use to back up your images right when I get home from your session or event. For weddings, I also bring along two professional DSLR cameras- one Canon 5d Mark IV and one Mark III in case one glitches and multiple lenses in case of a crack. Having graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a Photography degree, I also understand how to work with unfavorable lighting and choose to not run away from, but lean into different weather patterns like rain, snow, and clouds. Have more curiosities? Ask me anytime!

Do you offer family or maternity sessions?Unfortunately, since I have recently niched-down, I am now gearing towards providing very funky, upbeat, and avant-garde adventurous imagery. As of right now, I have found that this style pairs best with seniors, fashion, couples, weddings, and elopements and I'm looking to direct as much of my attention to making their experience with me as well-rounded as I can! However, I deeply appreciate your interest and consideration!
-
Do you offer add-ons for weddings?Totally! I offer all of these but not limited to: day before coverage (rehearsal dinner, date night, etc.), day after coverage (bridals, brunch, etc.), second shooter, and BTS iPhone footage. If you have a specific thing you're looking for, feel free to ask if I offer it anytime.

How would you describe what our experience would look and feel like in one sentence? You can expect to feel guided and hopefully understood leading up, and your gallery to feel whimsical, immersive, candid, and adventurous with a funky and colorful flair. :))
